Send For Mr Plim. A bewitching blend of jazz improvisation and operatic pastiche composed under the looming threat of Nazism and set in a beleaguered Berlin department store. With the economy crumbling and privileged few indulging in rampant shopping sprees, the store's management (played by Cantabile) devise a novel and outlandish scheme for dealing with customer complaints, with wholly unexpected and hilarious consequences.
