What do you do when all your friends move on, and you don't? Vicky is a young woman in her twenties living in London. She has a steady job and her own flat. Things are going very well. But all her friends are settling down, getting married, and even starting families. She's getting left behind, and she's lonely. So Vicky has an application on her phone that makes her friends believe she has a boyfriend. They text, they send photos; she shares all her intimate secrets with him. His name is Albert. She can choose what he looks like, what he's interested in, and he's always there, just a few clicks away, ready to reassure her that everything's fine. Just like a real boyfriend. But things are a little more complicated than they seem, particularly when Vicky starts to develop feelings for him. Vicky and Albert is a short chamber opera.
