At the Red Moon Ball, L'Amour is always eternal! Following on from the Cherry Blossom Ball staged at the Unity in the Spring, our troupe of 'dreamers' are back! Dressed in fabulous eighteenth century costumes, out troupe of dreamers invite you to be their guest for a night of pleasure, passion, fun and laughter, song and dance and of course, Love. Revel in the exquisite highs and lows of L'Amour: told with song, dance, puppetry, poetry, film and dramatic vignettes. Lie upon The Couch of Ardour: have your Fortune in Love told to you; have your picture taken on the Balcony of Desire, share a chestnut or two; read a poem to your lover if you so wish. And finally dance! Dance to our specially created baroque dances. Set in a timeless boudoir, the Red Moon Ball is a new kind of theatre, part musical, part masked ball, so pray, indulge your romantic fantasy for a night. We encourage you to dress up for the night in your interpretation of eighteenth century costume, for you are all guests at our ball. Participation is not obligatory and you may simply sit and enjoy, all we ask is that you wear a mask for the evening; for this is after all, a masquerade. Colour themes for the night are red and gold.
