The 'hero' of this piece of comedy theatre, Mr Stanley Fancy, is an actor; ambitious, sensitive, but he's also foolhardy, more determined, and more drunk than most. This is the story of one actor's attempts to get an audition with one of the country's most prestigious theatre companies - The Royal Shakespeare Company.
