Set in a wood on the outskirts of Geneva during a nuclear arms conference, the play examines the relationship between the two chief negotiators, a Russian and American as they meet informally after long, frustrating hours at the negotiating table. A humorous, deeply moving study of mankind's quest for War and Peace. In this revised version of the play, originally performed at Northern Stage, Vermont, a woman plays the role of the US negotiator.
