Popular Welsh playwright Frank Vickery's amusing play gives a glimpse of life in the Rhondda in wartime, as four women struggle to overcome their problems with courage and humour. The action centres around Dilys who finds a married American GI gives her more than just love. Sophie finds being single a pain. And Brenda, the youngest of the family, has never even seen a banana!
