Opening to coincide with National Transplant Week (7-14 July 2007), both plays tell the story of Abi and Pete, an ordinary couple in their mid-thirties faced with an extraordinary challenge. Better knowingly recreates the impact waiting for a transplant and having dialysis can have on a relationship, while Afterwards reveals that getting Better is only half the battle.
