Brighton Rock archiveGraham Greene's classic thriller about 1930's gangland Brighton. 'Pinkie Brown' a teenage would be gangster with psychotic tendencies tries to hang on to his mob rule in the town. Following the murder of Daily Messenger man, Kolley Kibber, Pinkie is trailed by amateur detective, Ida Arnold, who tries to save Pinkie's girl, Rose, from his violent behaviour. Branded as something of a "Lock Stock and Brighton Rock" by those in the press, this new and exciting production, set against a background of video projections and B&W photos of 1930's Brighton is sure to be one of the highlights of this year's Brighton International Festival.
