Carnivali archiveThe cutting edge of contemporary theatre. Combining visual spectacle with intimate detail. 'Carnivali' is a surreal thriller about death and love, where the unexpected is a way of life. Pitched between a 50s 'B' movie and the surreal beauty of Luis Bunel, 'Carnivali' will enlarge the spectators in a fast-paced total theatrical experience. In a small hotel south of the border - four gangsters arrive to begin the revelries early. Getting drunk on tequila, they start to terrorise the hotel owner and his staff. Meanwhile a dust storm is getting up outside and as the electricity waivers and the lights begin to dim and flicker, the gangsters become uneasy, now sensing a strange presence in the hotel. Are there other guests or is this Mariachi - the spirits of the dead waiting to drag them to hell?
