Details
Written before the Second World War, this is the story of a family and a nation, with a message of faith in the future. Its grand procession of time and events opens with bells ringing in the twentieth century as the Marryots drink a toast to the year 1900 and follows the family and friends over the next thirty years, mingling their private ups and downs with more public events.
