Christie in Love is a unique telling of the events leading up to the murder of seven women and the subsequent hanging of John Reginald Christie; a story which gripped and shocked the tabloid-reading public of post-war Britain. Without seeking to over dramatise these events, Howard Brenton succeeds in depicting the brutality of murder in both surreal and real terms.
