The Cupboard Man was trapped in his mother's house and treated as a two-year-old right up until he was eighteen. From there, he went to a special home, learning self-expression through dance and therapy. The Cupboard Man tells his tale, from his first 18 years of life to working in the kitchens of a posh hotel for a sadistic boss, through trying to contact his mother again, to a lonely existence in an attic flat.
