An adaptation of von Kleist's 18th century play 'Amphitryon'. A new version of the classic Greco-Roman comedy of Zeus/Jupiter's affair with a mortal woman, Alcmene the wife of Amphitryon, God's Gift takes the interplay of gods and mortals to rural Ireland during the 1798 rebellion.
