Goering's Defence archiveHermann Goering was the jolly fat Nazi love with his own uniform. Head of the feared Luftwaffe, inventor of the Gestapo and architect of the concentration camp. He was also second in command of the Third Reich. At the Nuremberg trials, while his colleagues denied knowledge and responsibility for the atrocities of WWII, Goering stood up and told it like it was. His defence was astounding - morally indefensible but certainly brilliant. Sentenced to hang with all the rest, he died the same night. But how?
