CORONAVIRUS: All UK venues closed on 16th March 2020 and there is currently no planned re-opening time though it will not be before 1st June 2020 and is most likely to be September (according to some West End producers). Some shows have been cancelled, or closed early, but many are being rescheduled and we are trying to keep up with the changes - assume that anything posted for April and May is actually postponed or cancelled. Pantomimes are possible but a few venues and shows may not return and larger venues and tours are unlikely to re-appear before 2021 though we have some hope for some panto ....

Jerusalem archiveA dark musical comedy. Radio Castle, the voice of Jerusalem. All your local news broadcast from the bed of housebound ex-fireman John Edward Castle. His son doesn't want to be part of the family business, and his wife is still in love with the town's ex-policeman but Radio Castle continues to broadcast despite everything life throws at John Edward. When the coveted position of Entertainment Secretary at Jerusalem Social Club comes up only one man stands between John Edward and his dream - a certain ex-policeman. As two old adversaries square up, who will get the girl and who will get the job? Best known for his poetry and, more recently, his novels, Simon Armitage is the author of four plays including Mister Heracles] which premiered at the West Yorkshire Playhouse in 2001.
