Jesus Hopped the 'A' Train by Stephen Adly Guirgis is an emotionally devastating search for morality and grace within the cynicism and daily degradations of the US penal system. It is a play which examines notions of faith and despair, and demonstrates that, even in the midst of injustice and brutality, there exists a motivating desire to prove oneself worthwhile.
