Knives in Hens archiveIn a remote, rural village, a young woman is married to the local ploughman but strikes up an unlikely relationship with the miller. What she learns from him will change their lives forever. Knives and Hens is set in an isolated community in rural eighteenth-century Scotland. A world which is governed by the rules of the Church, Elders and Laird, and the villagers are defined by their working roles.
