A broken marriage, the death of his son and a compromised and unfulfilling career have left photographer, Tom Carver at a crossroads in his life, broken and alone. A chance and seemingly unimportant confrontation between Carver and a twelve year old lad draws him into conflict with a teenage gang called the 'Under 5's'. The battle that follows becomes increasingly fraught as Carver develops a siege mentality that affects his work and relationships.
