A three act social satire, One Man received an Olivier Award Nomination for Best New Play in 1999. It begins with the gothic horror tale The Tell Tale Heart by Edgar Allen Poe, which is one of the scariest tales of dementia and murderous compulsion ever. Actor is the portrait of an out of work and increasingly desperate performer, dreaming of playing Hamlet and getting nowhere fast.
