Oral archiveFrom theatre maker and mental health activist, Viv Gordon, comes a show that chews up stereotypes of mental health and spits out courageous and comic theatre with dance. Based on her lived experience, Viv Gordon and company sink their teeth into stories of childhood sexual abuse, dentistry and crocodiles. ORAL is a jaw dropping call to arms. Rebellious and gobby, the show is about rising up and biting back. As an antidote to the clumsy handling of mental health conditions, Viv Gordon embodies new narratives for punchy and positive survivor stories through intelligent, witty and provocative writing. The performance shares a message of activism, using Gordon's lived experience to unpick what it means to be a survivor, engaging audiences with a unique mixture of theatre, dance and comedy.
