Party Time - Winner of the James Menzies-Kitchin Memorial Trust Award for Young Directors 2003 archiveHarold Pinter's Party Time was first performed at the Almeida Theatre with Mountain Language. The central character Gavin hosts a party in his up-market flat while the streets outside are blockaded, the result of a military occupation. The dark humour of the piece results from the various relationships between the guests and is full of confrontational contemporary themes.
