"When did you first realise you were more than one person?" George's world is multiplying in ways he cannot control. The woman he loves cannot remember meeting him, and every time he wakes up things have changed in ways he can not predict. Meanwhile, a murderer is stealing his victim's brains and all the police have to go on is the remains of a rat in a box.
