Concerning Lewis, a young gay man who attempts to marry life as a promising London 2012 Olympic Boxing medal hopeful with his older boyfriend's Tom's desire to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the Admiral Duncan bombing in April 2009. As a survivor of the explosion, Tom has always commemorated the bombing as a single man. But with Lewis in his life and with the tenth anniversary looming he hopes this year will be different. As with so many situations, what spawns the events of PROUD is one person's inability to tell the truth and confront the consequences that the truth may have both for themselves and the ones that they love.
