In a new play set around one man's struggle to shed his middle age spread. Having tried numerous diets, 'The Man' attends Andrew's Fat Club for Men for one last throw of the dice. There he meets Gwydion, the theatre technician, whose job it is to 'press buttons'. As their relationship develops, we find them entering a world that feels like Waiting for Godot meets Weight Watchers. A darkly, funny piece that looks at the weight loss industry, our impact on the environment and the weird and wonderful world of Adipose Tissue. The piece is in development and as part of that development we will be holding our own 'Fat Clubs' for interested parties to join in and share their stories about food, the environment, successful or failed weight loss regimes and hearing about some of the research we've been uncovering regarding the current ?epidemic' of obesity. We will also be offering some NLP exercises on the subject of weight loss and have quest speakers, including from Public Health Wales.
