Details
Two young men have each found the love of their life. Unfortunately their fathers have other ideas. So the boys turn for help to Scapino, king of con men. But the old men's obstinacy tests Scapino's ingenuity to breaking point and he is driven to evermore elaborate and ludicrous schemes to ensure that love will win the day. Written at the height of Moliere's powers, this farce is a master-class in comic construction. He conceived the role of Scapino for himself - the tricksters' trickster on his last great adventure.
