Journalists start with a draft, performers start with a scratch. An opportunity to see a first trial run of a new short show destined for the Kendal Live Literature showcase in September. Poet Sean Burn and musician Gareth Mitchell begin to explore the crossover link between poetry and song lyrics. Is there a dividing line? Does an accompanying instrument indicate that it's song? When does the voice turn from speaking to singing? Are written lyrics just poems? Does any of this matter? And the most interesting question - how can this be presented on stage? You can be there at the start.
