Skylight archiveOlivier Awards - Best Play 1995. On a bitterly cold London evening, schoolteacher Kyra Hollis receives an unexpected visit from her former lover, Tom Sergeant, a successful and charismatic restaurateur whose wife has recently died. As the evening progresses, the two attempt to rekindle their once passionate relationship only to find themselves locked in a dangerous battle of opposing ideologies and mutual desires. David Hare's Olivier award-winning play Skylight returns to the West End in a brand new production directed by Stephen Daldry. Originally opening at the National Theatre in 1995, the play transferred to the Wyndham's Theatre before a Broadway transfer, and return to the West End in 1997. Skylight website.
