UKTW - 25 years online
CORONAVIRUS: All UK venues closed on 16th March 2020, work is underway to re-open safely. Some venues are showing on-line productions or outside productions - even a few covid safe internal ones and a number of tours and shows have been rescheduled for later in 2020 and throughout 2021. We are updating our listings as much as possible to reflect the changes as they are reported.

Stevie archiveNervous and droll, Stevie Smith spends her days as a private secretary at the Newnes Publishing company and her evenings in the London suburbs eating Battenberg cake and Ginger Nuts with her beloved Aunt. All the time she is writing the piercing poetry and prose that will make her famous. In between there are diverting visits from a series of men and, later on, tussles with literary celebrity. Beyond everything there is her greatest, often darkly comic, struggle: to keep waving when she feels like drowning.
Performers Zoe Wanamaker (Stevie), Lynda Baron (Aunt), Chris Larkin (Man).
Author Hugh Whitemore. Corporate Sponsor University of Chichester. Presented by Chichester Festival Theatre. Director Christopher Morahan. Design Simon Higlett. Lighting Colin Grenfell. Sound John Leonard. Director Gabrielle Dawes (casting).
