The Cambria archiveOn August 10th 1845, among the passengers on The Cambria's Boston-Cork sailing route was escaped slave called Frederick Douglass. He had just published a book of his life story, and it had become a best seller. He was forced to flee with a high price on his head and he sought asylum in Ireland.
