The Crock archiveA sequel to The Browning Version. Set in the post-war austerity years of late 1940s, The Browning Version is the story of a public school classics master, Andrew Crocker-Harris, who has been forced to resign his position after many years due to ill health. The Crock (as he has been nick-named by his pupils) has not been a very successful or popular teacher. The main focus of his teaching - and his deep love - is Greek tragedy.
