It's July 2007, the heavens have opened and Thatcham is fast becoming a flooded community. Brenda switches her radio on to BBC Radio Berkshire in the charity shop where she works. All is not what it should be for the station seems to be broadcasting historical dramas - all Thatcham history seems to be happening...simultaneously; she hears the struggle of a woman giving birth in the local church, the drone of a WWII American plane returning to Greenham Common, the frantic search of a woman on the nearby canal and the unpalatable face of racism. A community play based on the history of the town and the memories of its inhabitants.
