Details
The Round Dance is Arthur Schnitzler s (1862-1931) classic sex satire: a cleverly structured play that tracks the course of a series of adulterous affairs through high and low society in fin-de-siecle Vienna. Groundbreaking insight into decadence, hypocrisy and lust that was the inspiration for classics such as Max Ophuls' La Ronde and David Hare's The Blue Room. Site specific production for the Undercroft which transposes the action to Victorian London. The final opportunity to view the Undercroft in its original form prior to a major refurbishment project.
