A rich old man yearns for the perfect submissive wife. He has a young girl specially trained up - away from the influence of other men. But true love, of course, triumphs - leaving him looking a perfect fool. Moliere's understanding of male insecurity is as funny in our politically correct age as when he wrote it. Paul Daniels will take over the part of Alain until 26 July 1997
