The Very Thought archive'One: you learn to do a trick. Two: you learn to make it look easy. Three: you can make it look however you like. That is the performative component. And I am fine.' Violet is teaching a new class, but she's having a bit of a difficult day. The Very Thought is a story about love and loneliness and a comedy about changing the way you look. It also contains (disclaimer/warning) feminism and pole dancing, which means it's about those things too. Rose Biggin (writer/performer) is a Drama PhD student at the University of Exeter, and a writer who dances. She was a Miss Pole Dance UK national finalist in 2008. Liberty Martin (director) is studying for a MA in Dramatic Writing at Drama Centre, London. The Very Thought has been developed with Framework's ?In Your Space' programme, and was performed in January 2014 as part of the From Devon With Love festival.
