Two of the West End's 'hottest stars' - who have both recently starred as Roxie in CHICAGO - are to appear together as part of the first season of Musical Ladies & Gentlemen of the Stage at the Shaw Theatre . JOSEFINA GABRIELLE recently played Roxie Hart in 'Chicago' - handing the baton over to Jill Halfpenny - and returned to the role for a further short sentence immediately prior to appearing at the Shaw Theatre. As 'Laurey' in the RNT production of 'Oklahoma!' - a role she also played when it transferred to Broadway - she was nominated for the Best Actress Laurence Olivier Award, an Astaire Award and The Outer Circle Critics Award in New York. Josefina1s other leading roles include 'Cassie' in 'A Chorus Line', and 'Alex' in 'The Witches of Eastwick'. REBECCA THORNHILL also recently starred as Roxie Hart - alongside Hollywood star David Hasselhoff. Nominated as Best Actress in the Olivier Awards for 'Singin' in the Rain', Rebecca1s other West End musicals include 'Ragtime', 'The Full Monty' , 'The Witches of Eastwick', 'Oklahoma!', 'She Loves Me', Fantine in 'Les Miserables', and Babette in the original cast of 'Beauty and the Beast'.
