CORONAVIRUS: All UK venues closed on 16th March 2020 and there is currently no planned re-opening time though it will not be before 1st June 2020 and is most likely to be September (according to some West End producers). Some shows have been cancelled, or closed early, but many are being rescheduled and we are trying to keep up with the changes - assume that anything posted for April and May is actually postponed or cancelled. Miss Hope Springs

T02002230873
Winner of Best Cabaret Broadway World Edinburgh Fringe Awards 2019, Miss Hope Springs, revisits her 1971 Granada TV special Christmas Agogo! which is to this day considered an unaired classic. Once the toast of Las Vegas (now down on her luck and highly medicated) live at the piano 'recovering showgirl' Miss Hope Springs rummages under her Christmas tree to unpack a glittering array of all original self-penned festive songs from her acclaimed repertoire. You'll hear toe show-stopping show tunes, witty comedy numbers and haunting ballads, interspersed with scandalous stories from her 'Ritz to the pits life' in LA Paris and erm ...Dungeness. Hope sprinkles a fine frosting of vintage Vegas glitz as she takes you on this trip down her, by now, somewhat potholed 'mammary lane'. You'll hear numbers such as Santa is a Woman, the heart-breaking Paper Snow, hysterical Christmas Calypso, riotous Bagels and many more.

Production details

Musical comedy cabaret sensation ?recovering showgirl' Miss Hope Springs plays the piano and sings songs from her award-winning, all-original, self-penned, repertoire. Hysterical tales from her disastrous 'Ritz to the pits' life are interspersed with songs from her new record about her various paramours, from Tab Hunter to Noel Coward, and revelations about her scandalous showbiz shenanigans in Vegas, Paris and beyond. Still wearing the sequins she left the Pink Pelican Casino with in 1972, Hope brings you her blend of finger snapping pop, romantic rhumbas and sassy bossa novas in this laugh-out-loud, move-you-to-tears show.
