The Best Medicine - Repeat Prescription
In this new show, Dave tackles the old adage 'Laughter is the Best Medicine'. It was his Dad's favourite saying; which is why when Dave was six, he nearly died of diphtheria. In later years, working in the NHS as a Biomedical Scientist, Dave discovered for himself that scientific evidence endorsed his Dad's wise words; it has proven that when we laugh our bodies release a cocktail of chemicals and hormones which reduce stress and blood pressure, lift depression, boost the immune system and here's the clincher... burn calories!
