Wind Instruments from the Far East
The khene is a large bamboo mouth organ from Thailand. As a folk instrument, its bright and bouncy rhythms are immediately attractive to the Western ear. Clive Bell presents this together with the haunting shakuhachi of Japan and other instruments which he has played for many years in theatre, dance and pop music groups including Jah Wobble and Frank Chickens.
