Four extraordinary works by four established dance artists. A programme that celebrates different dance styles with influences from around the globe. Afidance present drum poetry plus Azania, a dance from South Africa and Kpanlogo dance from Ghana. Both these dances are social dances and are celebrated in time of happiness. Martial Dance amalgamates contemporary, hip hop, reggae and jazz with martial arts movements taking you through a journey of one person’s life and their quest to find the one responsible for their situation in ‘Neither Here, Nor There’. Mayuri Boonham of Angika presents an inspiring selection of South Asian dance work. Step Out Arts presents new work with elements of Chinese Opera, martial arts, traditional Chinese folk and modern dance styles which combine to create a dramatic study of movement.
