Production details

Now in its fifth year, A Feeling for Practice goes behind the scenes to explore the different ways artists revive seminal work. Not just a matter of teaching the steps, it's a much more complex and interesting process which can be approached in a variety of ways. Renowned choreographer Richard Alston shares his process of reviving sections from Wildlife, originally created for Rambert Dance Company in 1983, focusing on how he works with the dancers to bring the piece to life in a new way. Pedro Machado, Candoco's Co-Artistic Director, reveals the process of re-staging Trisha Brown's Set and Reset/Reset on both able and disabled bodies. Dancers - both live and on film - illustrate the two presentations. A Feeling for Practice is facilitated by Dick McCaw. Dance Umbrella - Purcell Room
