Details

A double bill of stunning Indian classical dance begins with Rama Vaidyanathan, one of India’s leading performers of Bharatanatyam. She is accompanied by live vocal and instrumental music. The sculpturesque and sensuous Odissi dance style is brought to life by rising star Sarmistha Guha. Her dance is notable for a strong sense of taal (the rhythmic beat of the soul echoing through dance), deft footwork and lyrical movements while maintaining the purity of the form.
