I Want to Go Home - T976056509

UK Premiere. Brazilian choreographer Guilherme Botelho imagines what would happen if our subconscious minds started to dance. In I want to go home he explores our innate drive to hide the darker aspects of human nature behind a veneer of normality. With his six energetic performers, Botelho takes us back to some of our most common childhood nightmares and sets them before us in all their garish, frightening, thrilling splendour. There is no escape...Punctuated by choreographic passages of great beauty, I want to go home is a surreal, funny, grotesque and overblown exploration of our worst fears. One minute you’ll be squirming in your seat and the next delighting in your horror. This is the only Dance Umbrella 2007 event to feature sharks.
