Big Dance Theater layers movement, text, music and video into a century-spanning work that reveals this Baroque hipster's compulsions as a startling precursor to our own social media-obsessed times. Pulling the past into the present, Big Dance revives the lost voices of Bess Pepys and her contemporary, the radical feminist playwright Margaret Cavendish.
