Details

Anthony Missen and Kevin Edward Turner formed Company Chameleon in 2007. After meeting in 1994 at Trafford Youth Dance Theatre, they trained together at Northern School of Contemporary Dance before working collectively and independently with companies including Scottish Dance Theatre, Mad Dogs Dance Theatre, Rui Horta, Rambert Dance Company, Phoenix Dance Theatr and Henri Oguike Dance Company. KITH/KIN is a double bill from Anthony Missen and Kevin Turner, the founders of Company Chameleon. Rites is a duet that is both powerful and poignant in its exploration of those events and experiences that shape us as friends, brothers, fathers and sons. It allies bold athleticism with moments of touching sensitivity. Before Night Fell is an exploration of male identity, friendship, camaraderie and bravery. This is one of several dynamic, sensual works Beth Cassani has created in collaboration with Company Chameleon, exploiting the performers’ unique relationship and identities. In this new work together, they develop concepts of physical risk, game structures, intimacy, vulnerability, power and manipulation. Anthony Missen and Kevin Turner met and trained at Northern School of Contemporary Dance. Their combined performance careers include appearances with Rambert Dance Company, Scottish Dance Theatre, Phoenix Dance Theatre, Cie. Willi Dorner, Cassanidance, Henri Oguike Dance Company and Company Decalage.
