CORONAVIRUS: 22Feb21 UpdateAll UK venues closed on 16th March 2020. After the Prime Minister's announcement it would appear that, subject to continued control of the virus, venues may re-open with social distancing and limits on audiences from 17th May. Social distancing restrictions may be removed from 21st June. We will continue to update our listings as much as possible to reflect the changes as/when they are reported.
DetailsThe London Ballet Company is comprised of International dancers from world renowned ballet and dance institutions. It is our vision to bring the highest quality of dance performance to intimate venues throughout the UK and further afield, in order to reach those who might not have previously experienced this wonderful and powerful art form. The Company's repertoire is modern and distinctive, comical, expressive and dynamic, allowing the audience to appreciate the athlete in the grace of its dancers. It is our aim to broaden the boundaries of ballet performance and we are committed to nurturing both our own and International dancers and choreographers, who will deliver world class dance performance, rooted in a strong classical technique. The 2012 Summer Olympic Games, officially known as "the Games of the XXX Olympiad", are scheduled to take place here in London from the 27th July to the 12th August, 2012. Athletes from 204 nations are expected to participate. An estimated 10,500 athletes will compete. There will be 302 events in 26 sports. These are the cold statistics. By the dancers of the London Ballet Company, and inspired by the Olympics, we zip from the origins in Greece to a packed underground train on a journey through to the athletes in training. Newspapers proclaim the great event and the flame nears its journeys end......At last, the opening ceremony. A proud moment. Let these games begin!
