After practicing as a doctor, Catalan-born dancer/director, Tomeo Verges founded Man Drake in 1992. An original member of Maguy Marin's famous May B company, he has also worked with Francois Verret and Regine Chopinot. UK Premiere. Age guidance: 12+. Running time: 55mins with no interval. A soldier, missing in action and presumed dead, returns to find his wife living with another man. Inspired by war-time events in director Tomeo Verges own family, Anatomia Publica is the unsettling depiction of an unusual accommodation, a bizarre and tense menage a trois. At the crossroads of dance and theatre the production unfolds as a gripping piece of physical story-telling in which fractured movement, sound and image clash, reinforce and contradict each other, the drama heightened by a thrumming soundscape.
