WILD creates an urban forest in the everyday of the city. Using the powerful physicality distinctive to Motionhouse, performers use dynamic choreography, acrobatic movement and hand-to-hand partnering to move through a forest of tall poles, which forms the striking set for WILD. Captive/Underground - T01167522722

Captive is an exciting blend of dance, acrobatics and aerial work, performed inside a large cage. It was inspired by the poem The Panther by Rainer Maria Rilke which explores themes of captivity. The show has been designed to appeal to both newcomers to dance theatre and existing fans and has attracted praise from previous attendees. Performed by four dancers in a rocking tubular structure, Underground uses stunningly physical dance, poignant imagery and surprising aerial encounters to explore the new reality of train travel: the compressed intimacy of a crowded carriage; the crush of personal space; the studied ignoring of our fellow humans and the fear of a dangerous stranger. Travellers are thrown together in an unlikely alliance as graffiti artists paint their love in motion. Suspended at odd angles and riding the rhythm of the train, four characters are constantly drawn together then torn apart.

Delving into the beauty and absurdity of water in different elements, six dancers dive into a moving stream, wrestle a raging tide and slide on an avalanche to a frozen landscape of arctic beauty.Director Kevin Finnan. Fearless - T1583495306

Fearless - this is about our phobias. Fear of falling, fear of flying, fear of open spaces and tiny rooms. The sound of strangers footsteps on a lonely street, a nail biting chase and a smoke filled room. Fearless examines frightful and funny moments in a frantic and fearful imaginary world. Three dancers launch and hurl themselves across platforms; swing and shimmy on Escher inspired steps, and leap and dive onto an inflatable floor, in a turbine of extreme physical action.Choreographer Kevin Finnan. Design Simon Dormon. Design Oblique.

Atomic Once the balance of a small space is disturbed, particles and people become unstable.. Atomic is about small incidents in little places with enormous explosive potential: three characters sitting on a powder keg of insignificance playing with matches. Featuring a stunning set, the dance language is rich, vibrant and emotive and the music is teasingly familiar - trademark Motionhouse style, energy and wit, in a nutshell.Choreographer Kevin Finnan. Design Simon Dormon. Design Oblique.
