West Midlands Youth Ballet are this year featuring a reconstruction of a work created by the company's founder to a [Beethoven]'s Sonata; a revival of Heritage, a ballet in three tableaux taken from an idea of [David Bellamy] to a commissioned score by [Malcolm Williamson], Master of the Queen's Music; Toccata, a contemporary work; [Faure]'s Elegie, a lyrical piece; and the ever popular Mock Morris, Salute and Parade.

A tribute to [Phyllis Kempster], founder and Director of West Midlands Youth Ballet since the inaugural performance in 1975, who died recently. The performance features excerpts from Nutcracker and the popular Danish Ballet Napoli, a contemporary dance piece, and Concerto Two, an original work created for the Youth Ballet by [Phyllis Kempster], set to [Shostakovich]'s second Piano Concerto.
