DetailsWild Card is a Sadler's Wells initiative that gives artists the opportunity to present the work of their choice. It aims to bring fresh ideas to the stage by giving young creators a platform to share the work they admire. Leicester based producer Anand Bhatt presents Cooperire, a mixed bill of work that will demonstrate his enthusiasm for different genres of dance whilst also showcasing his love of good movement, from Michael Jackson to classical kathak. The evening features the premieres of work by two new choreographers, contemporary dancer Karima El Amrani and Australian dancer and choreographer Lewis Major, both with specially commissioned scores by Joel Harries, as well as work choreographed by Marso Riviere. There will also be performances in the foyer and cafe - transformed for the evening into a kathak mehfil - and other special events created for the night, including spoken word hip hop by John Berkavitch, that will take place after the show. Running time: 1hr 20mins (including one 20min interval)
