T471570628This is a battle - between genders and between generations, for power, love, and respect. Queer Voices have created a burlesque, exuberant comic-opera performance with fearless casting crossing the boundaries between audience and performers....A guerilla opera, abolishing archaic, operatic hierarchy, experimenting and challenging traditional gender roles in the play. Queer Voices are Norway's first and only Queer opera company by – with and for the LGBTQIA+ community. It was founded in 2019 by Maria Dale Johannessen, Therese-Angelle Khachik and Eldrid Gorset. The ensemble has now expanded, and they are presenting their first full-length opera production. This is a singer-lead collective in which all the performers contribute with their experienced-based knowledge, and creativity. Sung in Norwegian - poken text in English, with subtitles in English on the wallPresented byQueer Voices. Director Kristin Lundemo Overoye. Director Lars Harald Maagero.
